Sol Collective is more than just a coffee shop. Sol strives to Illuminate a Better Way Forward for the Houston community by offering a welcoming, affordable and accessible sustainability focused cafe with donation based educational workshops and community events.
Its purpose is to foster community engagement, encourage connection, and provide opportunities for accessible education and knowledge.
Authentic Connections Through a Third Space
We are currently facing a lonliness epidemic, with 1 in 4 adults reporting feeling very or fairly lonely.* Social connection can often be developed in third places, where people can connect with others over a shared interest or activity. However, currently in Houston, there are few spaces that foster this environment - until now.

Bridging the Education Gap
There is an education and knowledge gap in Houston, leaving many residents without access to critical resources. Current avenues for education are often too expensive or unavailable in certain neighborhoods, or in some cases, community members are simply unaware of the educational availability within their neighborhood. Sol Collective plans to help rectify this by using the space to offer donation-based classes and workshops.
